The Need

RoRo Properties Foundation, Inc. is a multicultural, multi-generational mission to serve returning re-entry citizens with network services. Every year in the U.S. more than 700,000 state prisoners are released and many of them possess nothing but the clothes on their back when they walk out. Studies show that Recidivism (the tendency of a convicted criminal to reoffend) is not only a problem for the government because of the large amount of money dedicated to prisoner care, it’s a problem for a community due to higher recidivism rates meaning higher crime rates. This shows the need for our organization. Our program is designed to ensure each former inmate is given an opportunity for successful reintegration into society, with a place to call home. We hope to ensure a world with lower crime rates, lower poverty rates, and lower unemployment rates.

Our program is designed to reduce the number of inmates that return to prison and improve offender outcomes by providing justice involved individuals stable housing with ongoing care through essential resources for success in the outside world. We provide many programs that include housing and all the assistance needed from financial literacy, career development, and what they need to be prepared for in life after prison. RoRo Properties Foundation, Inc. brings the stable housing aspect combined with education and awareness to the people and other organizations in our community. We provide our programs free of charge to the community. Our ultimate goal of RoRo Properties Foundation, Inc. is to increase the low-income and individual participation in policy-making that results in equitable policies to improve the quality of life for all incarcerated individuals. Our goal is to not only assist with creating stable living environments for those in need but also equip them with the resources and skills necessary to empower themselves and rise above their misfortunes.
